About the destination

Karpenisi is the capital of Evritania, a mountain town at the foot of Velouchi with forests, rivers and a ski area. In winter it is a snow destination, while in summer the cool air and surrounding villages and gorges draw hikers and canyoners. It is a good base for a longer mountain trip.
