About the destination

Amorgos is a long, rugged Cycladic island known for the Hozoviotissa monastery, a white building hanging from a cliff about 300 metres above the sea. The white village of Chora, with its windmills and Venetian castle, and the harbours of Katapola and Aegiali are good bases. Agia Anna beach appeared in the film The Big Blue, and old footpaths link the villages across the island.
