About the destination

Mystras is a UNESCO-listed Byzantine fortified town on the slopes of Mount Taygetus, a few kilometres from Sparta. The Pantanassa monastery, still home to nuns, and the frescoes of Perivleptos and Agios Dimitrios are the highlights.
